Nio is a multi talented DJ, MC and Producer -from 1993- of the famed Italian rap group Zero Plastica -from 2001-. Nio's passion extends to collecting international sounds gathered during his cross continental travels.
This exclusive collection of sonic gems have led to the creation of the "NioSiddharta's Travels" mixtape series. With Nio's latest creation - "Nio York" - Nio takes the listener to the purest side of underground New York City, where rap music was born.
The tracklist includes the biggest names in NYC underground like Hired Gun, Chosan, Brown Bag AllStars, Marco Polo & Ruste Juxx, Majesty, Mos Def, Self Suffice, Eli Efi , Talib Kweli & Hi-Tek and some old school vets like Rakim, Gangstar, Epmd, Wu-Tang Clan, Lauryn Hill, Black Moon, GrandMaster Flash, Tony Touch, Q-Tip, Krs One, Nas and many others.
Nio's collaborators on this mixtape are Lure (also of Zero Plastica) and Alex Antonov, who drop freestyle jams as well as an unreleased Zero Plastica track from their upcoming and long-awaited record.
Nio also worked on so many different projects with the American indie Nomadic Wax, and he made beats for a lot of international mc's.
